This Conservation District Self-Assessment Tool is an outgrowth of the District Team Visit Project sponsored by the “Building for Tomorrow” leadership development program. Like the original on-site Team Visits of that project, this Self-Assessment Tool is designed to help the District take an internal look at four essential aspects of a conservation district team that must be created and maintained in order for a district to excel. They are:
1) effective board functioning;
2) effective interpersonal functioning;
3) effective political relationships; and
4) effective client/community/partner relationships.
By working through the following survey, either individually and later sharing the results, or collectively as a group, the District can begin to identify and address areas that they feel need improvements as well as areas that they feel comfortable with.
