New Director Orientation
Roadmap for New Directors
The links below provide a curriculum for newly-appointed Conservation District Directors to follow for self-directed learning about the roles & responsibilities of PA District Directors, as well helpful hints and suggestions on ways that you can use your time and talents to support the District Board. It is recommended that you follow this curriculum sequentially, and to review and understand each document in this list upon your appointment to the District Board.
Additionally, new Directors are also strongly encouraged to attend and participate in the annual Regional Director Training workshops, as well as the PACD/SCC Winter Meeting and Summer Joint Annual Conferences. Both of these events provide opportunities for learning and networking with other Conservation District officials and personnel from across Pennsylvania.
